Client Overview
Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana (GSNI-M) serves over 11,000 girls and volunteers across 22 counties. Their mission: build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
In 2025, the council faced internal transitions and widespread organizational change—prompting a renewed investment in inclusive leadership and communication skills among its staff and volunteers.
The Challenge
GSNI-M was navigating significant structural changes across the Girl Scouts network. Leaders and staff were experiencing uncertainty, role shifts, and emotional fatigue. The council wanted to ensure its internal leadership team had the tools to support their teams and one another through the transition.
They needed support in:
Normalizing reactions to change Strengthening emotional intelligence Building leadership capacity at every level of the organization
Our Approach
Phase 1: Building Resilient Connections (Virtual Training Event)
A highly interactive workshop on communication styles and psychological safety, helping participants deepen interpersonal trust and foster stronger connections across remote and hybrid teams.
Phase 2: Emotional Intelligence Assessments & Debriefs
Eighteen participants completed the Emotional Intelligence (EIQ) assessment, and seventeen of them also participated in one-on-one debriefs to interpret their results, reflect on their leadership styles, and align personal growth to organizational needs.
Phase 3: Leading Others from Panic to Purpose (In-Person Training Event)
An energizing keynote and hands-on session focused on the emotional dynamics of change. Participants learned to recognize change responses, manage emotions, and lead others more effectively through uncertainty.
